La Rose Pourpre

Pauillac AOC – Bordeaux – France

La Rose Pourpre was created in 2009 out of a desire to offer some top-of-the-range, innovative, and atypical Pauillac wine. This confidential cuvée, produced only in great vintage years, is the joint result of the work of 3 of our cooperative winegrowers. It is a blend of grapes from 2 parcels of old vines where Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are predominant.

The plots planted to Cabernet-Franc, Petit-Verdot, and Cabernet-Sauvignon, are located on the edge of the Estuary and on the Artigues plateau, which puts them amid some of the most illustrious Châteaux.

This is a very favorable situation for our vine stocks, which blossom splendidly on a clayey subsoil mixed with gravelly deposits.
