CAVE SAINT BRICE

As early as 1934, in the midst of an economic recession, many winegrowers from Saint-Yzans de Médoc were betting on the future. They pooled their resources and invested in what was a high-performance production tool at the time.

Since then, generations of winegrowers have succeeded each other and have allowed the Saint-Brice winery to evolve while remaining true to tradition, and constantly seeking to improve the quality of its AOC wines.
Today the winery comprises 40 winegrowers for 110 hectares of vineyards producing a range of 8 products – which corresponds to an average of 14 ha per wine, and which goes along their determination to produce wines that are perfectly representative of their respective terroirs.

CAVE LA PAROISSE

Under the Ancien Regime, back when villages were not yet municipalities, the term Parish was used for a group of hamlets whose inhabitants attended the same church on Sundays. As far as wine is concerned, people would often speak of the riverside parishes or of the parishes behind the riverside ones.

The Saint-Seurin de Cadourne Cooperative was founded in 1935. Today, a group of 26 winegrowers work their vines in the same village, driven by passion and respectful of tradition, together with the people from the winery who lovingly vinify and age a wine with one single obsession, quality. It produces an average of 3,000 hectoliters per year. Its vineyards sit alongside the prestigious Saint-Estèphe AOC to the south, and spread out, to the east, on gravelly hilltops that overlook the great Gironde river.

VIGNERONS ASSOCIES

The story of the Grand Listrac winery began in 1935 in Listrac-Médoc, a small winegrowing village located on the edge of the Landes forest, thanks to the audacity and sharp minds of a score of winegrowers who had already understood that strength lies in unity.

From the mid-1940’s on, the Grand Listrac winery grew. What definitively made it known to French and foreign wine lovers alike was the partnership it signed with the Compagnie des Wagons-Lits in 1948, and which lasted till the early 1990s.

In February 2017, the Vignerons Associés Grand Listrac and the Viticulteurs du Fort-Médoc joined forces to become the Vignerons Associés de Moulis, Listrac et Cussac-Fort-Médoc.

The name chosen by all the winegrowers, Vignerons Associés de Moulis, Listrac et Cussac-Fort-Médoc, is meant to be a symbol of the mosaic of terroirs that make up their joined vineyard. This union is the keystone of our 43 winegrowers’ shared desire to pool their assets and expertise.

With close to 164 hectares of vineyards, distributed over the Listrac-médoc, Moulis en Médoc and Haut-Médoc AOCs, the Vignerons Associés are able to secure their future and continue to offer their customers wines produced with passion and at the best value for money.
